Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative 2023 for Nigerians

The Legacy of Walter Carrington

CYFI draws inspiration from the legacy of former Ambassador to Nigeria, Walter Carrington. He was a champion of civil liberties, democracy, and fostering closer ties between the U.S. and Nigeria. CYFI fellows are committed to translating Walter Carrington’s ideals into practical action.

Benefits

By participating in the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative, fellows gain invaluable benefits, including:

Eligibility

To be eligible for this fellowship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 30 on or before the application deadline.
  • Reside in one of the following Nigerian states: Enugu, Delta, Edo, or Rivers.
  • Possess proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Have not previously participated in the Carrington Fellowship.
  • Be available to fully engage in the one-year-long program located in Enugu, Delta, and Rivers States.
