Egbin Power Plc, located in Lagos, stands as one of the most significant power stations in Nigeria.
Often regarded as the largest single generating power plant in Sub-Saharan Africa, it was developed to cater to the growing electricity demand in Lagos and its surrounding areas.
After the country’s power sector was privatized, Sahara—via Sahara Power Group and associated entities—acquired the 1320 MW Egbin Power Plant. The group aims to deliver at least 5,000 MW of electricity within five years.
