Job Summary
Support physicians in delivering eye care services by conducting several diagnostic and preparatory tasks to assist with patient assessment and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and build rapport with patients; begin evaluations by recording symptoms, medical history, and other relevant information.
- Perform essential vision-related assessments like acuity tests, field tests, muscle function tests, dilation, tonometry, and screening for color blindness or dry eye.
- Operate and assist with equipment like OCT, keratometers, A/B scans, and visual field machines.
- Conduct lensometry, refraction, and retinoscopy.
- Help during minor office-based surgical or laser procedures.
- Manage prescription refills when approved by a physician and update patient records accordingly.
- Teach patients how to use medications or follow pre/post-operative care instructions.
- Assist in contact lens fittings and educate on proper usage.
- Maintain and inventory supplies and ophthalmic equipment.
- Prepare surgical tools for sterilization and ensure they are damage-free.
- Monitor medical refrigerator conditions and manage stock rotation.
- Open and close examination rooms by following equipment maintenance procedures.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned by medical staff or management.
Qualifications
Education:
- Certificate or Diploma in Community Health Extension from a recognized institution.
- Current license with the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a related position.
Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong accuracy and documentation capabilities.
- Familiarity with primary healthcare delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic health record systems.

Support ophthalmologists in caring for patients through data gathering and preliminary vision tests to ensure proper diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and assess patients; record complaints, medical background, and findings.
- Conduct standard eye tests such as visual acuity, field checks, extraocular muscle evaluation, and other pre-exam screenings.
- Use tools like OCT, keratometers, and imaging equipment for advanced tests.
- Carry out lens measurements and vision correction evaluations.
- Support in-office procedures and surgeries as needed.
- Manage authorized prescription refill requests with documentation.
- Guide patients on drug usage and aftercare for surgeries.
- Help with contact lens fittings and patient education.
- Maintain stock and oversee condition of medical and diagnostic tools.
- Sanitize and inspect surgical equipment and instruments.
- Monitor medical fridge temperature and supplies.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean and all equipment is shut down properly daily.

Qualifications
- NCE / OND qualification with 1–3 years of experience.

Job Description
- Reconcile bank statements monthly.
- Prepare daily cash position reports.
- Compile weekly lists of due payments.
- Process and classify payment vouchers correctly.
- Post all payments daily into accounting systems.
- Maintain and update general ledgers.
- Make journal entries for items like depreciation, prepayments, and accruals.
- Handle analysis and reconciliation of receivables, payables, foreign exchange, and cash flow.
- Ensure customer account details are readily available.
- Update asset schedules and reconcile with ledgers.
- Verify trial balance and revenue against deposits and credit sales.
- Perform monthly account closures and submit performance summaries.
- Examine financial records and flag variances.
- Present financial reports in internal meetings.
- Adhere to internal accounting and documentation policies.
- Take on extra duties as required by CFO or department head.
Qualifications
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- ICAN or ACA certification is advantageous

Qualifications
Education:

Experience:
