FG approved a new salary for graduate nurses
At the beginning of its activities, the National Council approved the 10th grade salary as the level of nurses who have completed primary higher education.
The decision was taken at the 43rd Council meeting in Abuja on 24 and 28 January.
A copy of the statement issued after the meeting states: “The Council approved a review of the level of admission of graduate nurses from SGL 09 (CONHESS 08) to SGL10 (CONHESS 09).

The meeting was also attended by 423 delegates from the states and representatives of all trade unions and doctors’ associations.
According to the statement, the authorities assessed a total of 24 memoranda on various establishment issues and supported some of the proposals.
Other requirements approved at the meeting were the creation of staff for dental therapists and the removal of obsolete optometry support staff from service delivery schemes
