The Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMIyD) has publicized the payment timeline for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP).
This initiative is tailored to bolster young entrepreneurs engaged in agriculture, food, and agro-allied sectors across Nigeria.
The ministry has declared that the application window for the programme will shut on May 31, 2025.
It further mentioned that after the application cutoff, verification of beneficiary accounts will occur through YEIDEP’s partner banks from June 1 to June 8, 2025.
“From June 11 to June 30, 2025, selected participants will liaise with the ministry to prepare for the programme’s commencement, which includes business funding and payment disbursements,” the ministry elaborated.
“Payments will be disbursed to Batch A beneficiaries between July 1 and July 31, 2025. The programme will concentrate on aiding youth enterprises in areas such as livestock farming, staple crop cultivation, food processing, storage/warehousing, packaging, marketing, and distribution of food products,” the ministry confirmed.
The federal government, through the ministry, stressed that the funding is exclusively allocated for young farmers and entrepreneurs in the food and agro-allied industries. Eligible youths are urged to submit their applications before the May 31, 2025 deadline.
