Site Auditor

Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities (along with any additional duties as assigned):

  • Identify signs of fraud, inconsistencies, or unauthorized site activities and escalate promptly.
  • Track real-time sales and site operations for compliance.
  • Promote revenue growth and cost control, ensuring all operational guidelines are followed, and escalate violations to Internal Audit.
  • Perform audit checks on daily sales across payment modes, identify mismatches, and report to Finance.
  • Verify POS merchant records with banks, monitor chargebacks, and follow up with resolution outcomes.
  • Physically inspect and verify all received stock items, signing off relevant documents.
  • Oversee cash drop validation with the BM, ensure figures match records, and report discrepancies.
  • Monitor and report all site rentals or bookings, flagging suspicious or unethical activities to Internal Audit.
  • Conduct daily and weekly independent stock counts.
  • Perform random cash drops and till checks for accuracy.
  • Compile monthly cash count certificates for submission to Finance.
  • Manage petty cash spending and submit reports for audit clearance.
  • Count cash items daily with the BM/CM, cross-check against all records, and report any mismatch.
  • Validate voucher use and other redemptions, ensuring all are accurate and legitimate.
  • Ensure POS terminals function properly, maintain supplies like printer paper, and monitor bank mixes.
  • Protect the company’s financial data and resources, ensuring access is controlled and secure.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist Finance with monthly reconciliations.
  • Help file tax documents and support internal audit processes.
  • Track movement or replacement of assets and report accordingly.
  • Coordinate with security agencies when instructed on fraud-related cases.

Qualifications:

  • HND or B.Sc. with minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Sound understanding of accounting and auditing practices across varied departments.
