Job Summary
The Regional Business Manager will drive growth for our e-commerce division. This role involves relationship-building with key trade clients, negotiating commercial deals, and executing sales strategies that boost revenue and market expansion.
Operational Responsibilities
Onboarding and Account Management:
- Discover and onboard new accounts, ensuring seamless integration and providing onboarding training to encourage fast adoption and performance.
- Maintain ongoing support to existing accounts, identifying opportunities for increased sales while working within OmniRetail’s operational framework.
Sales Strategy and Wallet Share:
- Create and execute strategies to drive revenue while aligning with overall company goals (especially OmniRetail’s margin focus).
- Drive product sales across categories and encourage repeat purchases.
- Ensure product displays are optimized, and FIFO (First In First Out) inventory methods are followed by clients.
Negotiations & Partnerships:
- Manage negotiations with new and existing trade partners to ensure win-win outcomes.
- Create business proposals and client presentations.
- Finalize contracts, promotional offers, and commercial terms with modern trade partners.
Logistics and Delivery of Goods:
- Supervise delivery operations from OmniBiz MFCs to end customers.
- Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse units to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Serve as the primary contact for logistics and resolve any issues that impact satisfaction.
Credit Management:
- Apply OmniBiz’s credit control measures by evaluating and approving credit limits in collaboration with the Growth Manager.
- Track payments, manage overdue accounts, and minimize credit exposure.
Performance Reporting:
- Deliver periodic reports on client performance, sales metrics, and account health.
- Provide insights based on market trends, competitor moves, and customer behavior.
- Identify and communicate areas for improvement or potential growth.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Admin, Sales, Marketing, or related discipline (Master’s is an advantage).
- 7–8 years’ experience in sales, account growth, or business development—ideally in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG sectors.
- Track record of growing key accounts within FMCG.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian retail and online commerce.
- Proven skills in high-value deal-making.
Salary: N600,000 – N700,000 monthly

- Build relationships with decision-makers to finalize deals.
Sales Collaboration:
- Coordinate with sales teams for smooth lead handoff and implementation.
- Work with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Competitor Analysis:
- Keep track of competitor actions to maintain a competitive edge.
- Modify plans based on competitive intelligence and market changes.
Campaign Measurement:
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Create reports with actionable recommendations for better results.
Client Relationship Building:
- Guide new clients through the onboarding phase.
- Explore upsell and cross-sell avenues within existing accounts.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay informed of industry developments to improve acquisition and retention approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Admin, or a similar area.
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in HORECA or modern trade.
- Background in lead generation and client engagement.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and digital tools skills.
