Procurement Officer / Purchasing Officer

Location: Lagos

Key Duties

  • Supplier sourcing: Finding and assessing suppliers who can meet the company’s product or service requirements.
  • Contract negotiation: Discussing and finalizing favorable pricing, delivery terms, and conditions with vendors.
  • Order processing: Handling procurement orders, inventory levels, and on-time delivery tracking.
  • Supplier management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Compliance monitoring: Making sure all procurement activities follow internal policies and government regulations.
  • Market analysis: Keeping up-to-date with pricing trends, new technologies, and supply chain shifts.
  • Budget handling: Monitoring procurement budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring spending efficiency.
  • Risk assessment: Identifying supply chain risks and finding ways to reduce or avoid them.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Procurement strategy: Designing purchasing strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Market research: Gathering insights into current market prices and options.
  • Supplier evaluation: Checking supplier reliability and performance regularly.
  • Green practices: Promoting eco-friendly and ethical procurement standards.

Salary
N150,000 – N250,000 per month.
