Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Team Building:
- Create hiring plans for different departments such as tech, sales, and projects.
- Handle full recruitment cycle: defining roles, sourcing, interviewing, and finalizing offers.
- Build structured onboarding that quickly integrates new hires.
HR Systems & Operations:
- Roll out and manage digital HR platforms for recordkeeping, leave, and performance.
- Keep all HR procedures documented and aligned with employment laws.
- Work with finance on payroll, HMO, pension, and benefits processes.
Performance, Engagement & Culture:
- Coordinate quarterly reviews using clear performance indicators.

Policy & Compliance:
- Update handbooks and HR rules in line with legal requirements.

Strategic Support:

Qualifications
- Educational background in HR or related field.
- 4–6 years’ HR generalist experience.
- Familiar with scaling teams and HR systems across businesses.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labor practices.
- CIPM certification preferred.
- Effective communicator with strong people management skills.

Legal & Compliance Officer

Role Overview
As the company expands, we’re looking for a Legal & Compliance Officer who is familiar with startup structures and the legal challenges in real estate.
This includes ensuring corporate compliance, handling property law, resolving title issues, managing land access, and advising on joint ventures.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Legal Compliance:
- Ensure regulatory compliance for MSV and subsidiaries (filings, resolutions, etc.).
- Liaise with bodies like CAC, FIRS, NSITF, PENCOM, etc.
- Draft contracts and legal documentation.
- Keep accurate records for all legal matters.
- Apply relevant laws, including tax and company acts.
Real Estate Legal:
- Run due diligence checks on land ownership documents.
- Review acquisition paperwork and property deeds.
- Manage disputes with community landholders (omo onile).
- Negotiate access to blocked or difficult sites.
- Draft legal agreements for partnerships and developments.
- Advise on risk areas in escrow and payment planning.
- Coordinate field activities with surveyors and authorities.
- Respond to legal disputes involving land use.
Requirements
- Law degree (LL.B and B.L).
- 4–7 years’ legal experience with at least 2 years in real estate.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian land and property law.
- Experience handling land access disputes.
- Solid knowledge of corporate compliance across business units.
- Excellent legal writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
