MSION’s goal is to address the needs of underserved Nigerians and significantly improve access to various reproductive health services.

MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices belongs to Marie Stopes International’s Global Partnership present in over 37 countries and operates in Nigeria through six different service channels.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

Assistant Director, Operations – South

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Objectives

The Assistant Director, Programmes (AD-Prog) – South is a major member of the Programme Operations Team, collaborating closely with Regional Managers, project teams, and other units to accomplish MSI Nigeria’s objectives.

This role involves assisting the Programme Operations Director in guiding operational and project activities within assigned regions to strengthen MSIN’s service delivery.

The individual will support operational productivity growth, field budgets, and work plans, ensuring administrative, financial, and logistical compliance with MSIN standards, aiming for high-quality service aligned with annual and strategic goals.

Overall Responsibilities

Field Operations Coordination:

  • Assist regional teams in preparing annual and quarterly budgets and monitor financial performance, managing associated risks.
  • Ensure fair distribution of resources across MSI Nigeria’s southern regions based on operational needs.
  • Track field activity progress and manage Regional Managers’ performance for effective implementation.
  • Coordinate field logistics support by working with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
  • Work with regional teams to ensure timely supply of commodities to match client demand.
  • Help ensure that regional teams comply with donor and MSIN regulations and policies.
  • Set up new offices and project teams, and assist their early operational development.
  • Support regional workplans aligned with overall project activities, including budget reviews and approvals.
  • Maintain timely communication between departments for field operations.

Advocacy and Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement with key government, religious, traditional, donor, and partner institutions.
  • Strengthen MSI Nigeria’s presence through partnerships and fulfillment of stakeholder commitments.
  • Represent MSI Nigeria to raise visibility through events, media, and professional meetings.
  • Regularly assess stakeholder landscapes to help guide advocacy and external relations strategy.

Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports from assigned regions.
  • Produce monthly operations factsheets and contribute to the MSI Nigeria Newsletter.
  • Manage field work-plan progress reporting and validate operations data for analysis and planning.
  • Ensure monthly production of success stories and human interest stories.

Leadership:

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to MSI Nigeria’s mission and encourage the same among field teams.
  • Maintain strong internal communication and departmental collaboration.
  • Represent the organization at relevant meetings and forums when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Management, Administration, Health Science, Social Science, or related fields.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and local languages.
  • 10+ years post-NYSC experience in programme and operations management within INGOs.
  • Senior management experience in a medium-to-large organization with dynamic team leadership.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded projects (USAID, EC, BMGF, FCDO preferred).
  • Sound knowledge of health programs and reproductive health practices.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and performance management skills.
  • Analytical abilities for interpreting financial and operational data.
  • Proven ability to manage change and influence outcomes across teams.

State Clinical Training Officer (SCTO)

Location: Osun
Employment Type: Full-time

Objectives

The holder of this position will train and support selected public sector providers across specific states/locations in delivering family planning services, especially LARCs, ensuring women can easily access quality family planning services.

The role includes supporting facility management, demand creation, data reporting, and engaging stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

Training and Supportive Supervision:

  • Conduct regular supportive supervision and mentoring of assigned providers.
  • Ensure providers maintain competency levels across clinical areas, and track these systematically.
  • Maintain an up-to-date training and competency database.
  • Support preparation and submission of performance reports and quality assessments.
  • Participate in facility quality improvement reviews with regional teams.

Supply and Facility Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and prevent commodity shortages at assigned facilities.
  • Oversee training material management and infection prevention measures.
  • Track referral systems and ensure expired commodities are removed.

Advocacy and External Engagement:

  • Represent MSI Nigeria in advocacy meetings and stakeholder forums where needed.
  • Maintain and build partnerships with government and other health organizations.
  • Support provider and community demand creation activities.

Data Reporting and Management:

  • Collect and validate monthly service data, ensuring timely entry into ORION.
  • Conduct facility-level data audits and ensure proper data archiving.
  • Train facility staff on data reporting tools and compliance standards.
  • Produce monthly integrated operational and quality reports.

Leadership:

  • Encourage commitment to MSI Nigeria’s mission among team members.
  • Maintain high communication standards within state teams.
  • Foster a positive work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Doctor, Registered Nurse, Midwife, or a related medical field.
  • Experience providing family planning training, especially in LARCs.
  • Familiarity with donor projects and health sector partnerships.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to implementation sites.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with health data management.

Regional Admin Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Objectives

This role provides administrative support in procurement, inventory, fleet management, asset tracking, and HR functions at the regional level.

The Admin Officer also manages procurement documentation and ensures compliance with inventory and fleet standards.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Process Management:

  • Maintain an updated vendor list and treat all procurement requests timely.
  • Organize procurement committee meetings and facilitate issuance of Purchase Orders.

Fleet Management:

  • Manage daily vehicle checklist usage, fuel tracking, and maintenance reporting.
  • Keep vehicle files updated and ensure compliance with fleet usage policies.

Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Record stock movement daily and synchronize records with Support Office weekly.
  • Perform weekly stock audits and critical stock reporting.
  • Maintain Good Warehouse Practice (GWP) and safety standards at storage locations.

Asset Management:

  • Keep updated records of assets and track their movement and acquisition.

Human Resource Management:

  • Maintain staff files and manage timesheet collection.
  • Assist with sourcing and managing work tools for regional staff.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, or Business Administration.
  • 2-3 years post-NYSC experience in procurement, inventory, and logistics management.
  • Professional certification in procurement/logistics is an advantage.
  • Experience working with health or donor-funded programs preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with ERP systems like Tally.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
