Npower Outsourcing is simply a process in which volunteers reach the minimum time they need to participate in the Npower program and then leave according to the conditions set for the duration of the program.
The npower program is clearly a program that influences the beneficiaries of the program throughout their operational program.
However, the program has some drawbacks for beneficiaries and their immediate communities when they stop participating. These disadvantages are:
2 ways disengagement affect npower volunteers and their communities
1. Suspending the payment of Npower volunteer scholarships reduces productivity. The small scholarship they receive affects both the volunteers and their immediate community, but if the scholarship ends without a proper exit package, they become a burden to their community.
2. NPower’s commitment to volunteering or productive youth in Nigeria is an important feature in building personal and social identity, family and social ties, work experience, earning opportunities and thus access to some essential and non-essential goods, services and activities, daily routine, activity levels, physical and mental well-being, self-confidence, etc. All of this was negatively affected as Npower lots A and B were separated without an exit package.
