NYIF Training

Nigeria Youth Investment Fund: Three Things You Should Know About Getting N75bn
The Nigerian government has launched a new platform for young people to apply for 75 billion naira grant for the New York Youth Development Initiative (NYIF) especially for entrepreneurs.
The Central Bank of Nigeria is co-sponsoring the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports with the aim of investing in young entrepreneurs in the country to boost the economy and provide them with jobs.
Here are three things you should know about support and how to submit your application:
1. Who qualifies?
The government said in a statement that only those between the ages of 18 and 35 who have a business idea and need financial support can apply for the grant.
2. Why did the government launch the subsidy?
Funding involves investing in young people’s entrepreneurial thinking and talents. The government believes it will change the mindset of young people to become self-reliant so that they can contribute to national development. The program is for three years.
3. How do you get support?
Lauretta Onochie, an aide to the president on social media, said that young people who want to submit their applications will be able to access the site, here
But before filling out the application form, one must make sure he has BVN bank numbers.
The government will release 25 billion naira annually for three years to complete the program.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Sunday Dare, said 500,000 youths will benefit from the program every year between 2020 and 2023.
He said the Buhari administration’s plan to address youth unemployment was a sustainable one.

- National Youth Development Centre (South South) – Ikom – Obudura, Cross River State
FMYSD To Scale Up NYIF Training As 239 Beneficiaries Get N166 Million
The Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF), led by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, has successfully completed its pilot disbursement of loans totaling N 165,700,000.00 to 239 beneficiaries prior to processing. more than three million requests received to date.
Application data showed that a total of 3,120,107 people signed up for the NYIF pre-assessment / training to benefit from the three-year funding of N75 billion for youth-owned businesses and ideas.
The Ministry will scale up the number of applicants being trained once it onboards EDIs now that it has funds for training in the 2021 budget. The increased number of training will begin as soon as late January.
However, the process announced by the Ministry showed that applicants that have been screened for basic KYC and confirmed as not presently benefitting from similar initiatives from government would be invited to submit business proposals, following which those whose proposals meet the requirements for the loans would be selected for the free training and then be given the loans ranging from N250,000 for individuals to N3,000,000.00 for registered businesses.
