Verify the website: Some websites are fake, it is ad iced that before filling in any of your details, take a look at the website if there are any mistakes or form of grammatical error because these fraudsters in a hurry to catch a victim when preparing the website they do type fast without cross-checking if there are any grammatical errors or not.
Another way is if the site has HTTPS or https/, go for https because they are often time legit.
2. Verify unknown calls: these fraudsters do make unknown calls with their victims claiming they are from their banks asking them they have an issue with their BVN so they should send the digits of their BVN. If you receive this type of message quickly rush to your bank if any call was made by them.
