Credit Analyst

Description
The Credit Analyst is responsible for reviewing the financial condition and credit profile of applicants to support sustainable lending and strong portfolio performance. The analyst will offer advice based on their findings to guide lending decisions.
Responsibilities
Credit Assessment & Analysis:
- Carry out detailed credit reviews and due diligence on loan requests, including financial analysis and cash flow reviews.
- Analyze loan proposals and suggest suitable credit conditions based on risk analysis.
- Examine customer documents such as invoices and bank statements.
Risk Evaluation & Monitoring:
- Detect credit risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain risk assessment models and frameworks.
- Keep track of active loans to spot early warning signs of defaults.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor loan portfolio performance for SME loans, Vendor Loan Schemes, and others.
- Suggest restructuring options when necessary.
- Help create reports for management and regulators on portfolio health.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure all loan documents are accurate and meet internal policies and external regulations.
- Work with legal and compliance teams on KYC, AML, and policy checks.
- Provide regular reports on risk trends, loan performance, and sectoral exposures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Proven background in credit analysis within a financial institution or impact fund.
- Good knowledge of financial statements, cash flow modeling, and credit evaluation.
- Understanding of SME lending in Nigeria.
- Strong skills in MS Excel, financial modeling, and credit scoring tools.
- Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and high integrity.

Legal Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a Legal Analyst to help build a productive internal legal team that provides legal support to the Company’s operations and goals.
The Legal team will also act as in-house legal advisors.
The Legal Analyst will offer legal expertise in drafting agreements, reviewing policies, strategic documents, and guiding legal matters.
The role involves communication with stakeholders to assess legal issues and prepare reports for management decision-making.
Responsibilities
Legal Support:
- Review laws, regulations, and policies to advise and draft related documents.
- Prepare documentation for legal proceedings and client agreements.
- Build and maintain a Sage Grey Policy Database for internal policies and regulations.
Advisory Services:
- Advise on commercial legal structures for business growth.
- Represent the company in trade and investment negotiations.
- Handle impact-related legal matters in line with sustainability goals.
Industry Knowledge:
- Keep updated with legal and regulatory changes affecting the company.
- Attend client meetings and offer legal advice.
- Review amended laws and evaluate their impact on the Company.
Organizational Support:
- Assist in research projects and board-related matters.
- Help design research tools and surveys.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Writing and Editing:
- Organize and maintain legal data (e.g., Excel sheets, tables).
- Draft and edit various documents (reports, summaries, etc.).
- Consolidate internal and external inputs into documents.
Meeting Minutes:
- Prepare detailed notes during client meetings, including attendee details and action items.
Project Documentation Review:
- Summarize project documents.
- Create queries for clients and projects.
- Attend Discovery Sessions and offer industry-related insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of post-call experience with strong commercial and corporate law knowledge.

Finance Analyst

Job Purpose
The Finance Analyst will assist the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, timely reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

The analyst will work closely with internal teams and report directly to the Head of Department.
Responsibilities
Financial Record-Keeping:
- Maintain updated financial records using accounting software.
- Post journal entries and assist with trial balance preparation.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial reports like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closure activities.
- Assist with budget and forecast preparation.
Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Support audit preparations (internal and external).
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations and accounting standards.
Other Duties:
- Organize and maintain financial documents.
- Collaborate with other departments for financial reporting needs.
- Support special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related course.
- 1–2 years work experience.
- Progress towards ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Strong accounting knowledge and numerical skills.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.
