Job Description
We are looking to expand our team in Nigeria by hiring skilled Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) Technicians for offshore work.
Applicants with solid experience in electrical maintenance in the oil & gas sector are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance:
- Inspect, test, dismantle, calibrate, and reassemble PSVs, PRVs, and related control devices.
- Perform valve maintenance, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs based on OEM and industry procedures.
- Use hydrostatic and pneumatic test benches for leak testing and seat tightness checks.
- Verify PSV settings according to ASME, API 527, API 576, and client requirements.
- Perform in-place testing of spring-loaded, pilot-operated, and rupture disc valves.
- Record all service activities, including test outcomes, in CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
- Support shutdown and turnaround operations focused on valve maintenance.
Equipment & Monitoring:
- Monitor PSV operations, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
- Ensure overpressure protection systems meet safety standards and regulations.
- Manage valve records and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
Compliance & Quality:
- Follow safety standards including PTW, LOTO, and Work at Height guidelines.
- Comply with HSE policies and report safety issues to the QHSE team.
- Follow best practices during valve assembly, greasing, and servicing.
Profile
- HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of PSV maintenance experience in offshore or petrochemical sectors.
- Experience working with OEMs such as Farris, Leser, Crosby, Tyco, etc.
- Skilled in operating pressure testing tools and resolving PSV malfunctions.
- Good knowledge of pressure protection systems and reading valve drawings.
- Familiar with shutdown planning related to PSV systems.

Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of ICSS, SII networks, and packages (also metering and instrumentation in the absence of the lead).
- Review contractor maintenance plans and ensure proper implementation of calibration per regulations.
- Consolidate maintenance strategies in coordination with the Methods Department.
- Ensure inventory and spares availability; recommend improvements.
- Act as Technical Admin for ICSS spare parts.
