Credit Underwriting Executive

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate the credit risk of prospective customers using defined risk guidelines.
  • Perform department tasks such as loan covenant monitoring, risk grading, audit prep, and recovery duties as assigned by the HOD.
  • Carry out due diligence on potential borrowers.
  • Examine credit facility applications to flag deviations from policy and highlight quality concerns in proposals from business units.
  • Analyze all financial data in applications to make objective, fact-based decisions.
  • Communicate identified credit issues and quality assurance points to the business units for resolution.
  • Ensure suggested amendments to credit proposals are relayed back to the appropriate teams.
  • Identify and report fraudulent applications or forged documents.
