Purpose
The Logistics and Inventory Officer is responsible for keeping precise and current records of laboratory supplies, tools, and materials. The role includes tracking quantities, costs, storage, and distribution.
This individual supports lab functions by ensuring tools and reagents are available and in good working condition, adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
The Officer will manage supply orders, monitor stock, and coordinate timely deliveries in close cooperation with procurement teams.
Role
- Promotes efficient and cost-effective use of lab supplies
- Aids in annual supply budgeting and financial tracking
- Reviews new product options and advises the Assistant Director
- Assists staff with procurement procedures and order processes
- Updates on product trends and assesses their potential for the lab
- Works with team leads on special assignments
