Senior Sales Engineer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Summary
Meet set business objectives across product sales, growth, market share, profit, and customer satisfaction within your designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow Sales: Deliver on the company’s agreed sales budget.
- Expand sales within the allocated region by visiting clients directly and, where applicable, working with contracted freelancers.
- Strictly follow & implement a guided sales strategy to achieve growth and sales targets.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with existing customers by actively managing their accounts and addressing their needs.
- Assess and define customer applications so that the correct product can be represented, ensuring integrity in product application.
- Promote the company’s brands using a value-driven sales approach.
- Engage customers proactively, positioning yourself as a trusted consultant for our product range.
- Provide diligent, professional follow-ups with existing customers.
- Set and maintain coherent and clear sales activity agenda.
- Safeguard and uphold premium pricing and positioning.
- Achieve the Gross Contribution of min. 30%.
- Reporting: Report daily, weekly & monthly using sales tools/databases on activities and market information (customers, competitors, actions in progress).
- Support sales by conducting site surveys and offering technical guidance to current and prospective customers.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge on product technologies and applications.
- Cover the full sales cycle—from prospecting and presentations to demonstrations, exhibitions, reference selling, and negotiations—to hit targets.
- Maintain frequent contact with all customers. Allocate roughly 70% of your time to meeting current and prospective clients and 30% to negotiating and closing quick-win deals.
Requirements
- BSc or HND in any related field; added advantage in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- At least five years’ corporate B2B direct sales experience in CMC industries (Cement, Minning & Construction).
- Familiarity with selling machinery and parts such as compressors, pumps, valves, conveyors, belts, and other heavy-duty components.
- Background in a manufacturing or engineering firm with a proven record of high-performance sales.
- Proven experience selling in the CMC industries (Cement, Minning & Construction).
- Passionate about the sales craft and ready to engage hands-on when needed.
- Ambitious and performance-driven personality.
- Demonstrates sound judgement and strong business acumen.
- Teamworking ability.
- Able to establish client relationships rapidly.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Resilience and tenacity.
Salary
N500,000 / Month.
